ASCEND 100 is a virtual 12 week program that will consist of weekly classes, small group workshops, mentorships and funding opportunities

Program Eligibility

ASCEND 100 will work to assist Black-owned micro businesses recover from the impact of the COVID-19 Pandemic.  Micro businesses are essential to the growth of the economy of places like Atlanta. As we learn more about the impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic it is becoming increasingly clear that micro businesses have needs that reach beyond the typical information and resources that are provided to small businesses and startups.  Micro businesses are companies with annual sales and assets valued at less than $250,000 per year and with fewer than five employees, including the owner. With numbers on the rise of people who are pivoting from the traditional workforce into self-employment, we are seeing an uptick in micro businesses that need more specialized assistance to expand their products/services and grow their businesses beyond the classification of sole proprietorship status.

Participants will be placed into small groups for weekly community groups with Village Advisors to further discuss lessons, weekly goals, and work through questions in an open and supportive setting.

Additionally, entrepreneurs will have access to a Village Wellness Coach to discuss their journey through ASCEND 100 and overcoming the impact of COVID-19.
